A dynamic, internally motivated physician with a background of training in General Psychiatry with either experience or a subspeciality in Addiction Medicine who can lead a team of health care professionals in the task of detoxification and treatment of addiction and co-occurring disorders in a residential setting. Develops and trains on up-to-date medical practices, policies and procedures with addiction medicine. Responsibilities will also include psychiatric coverage that reflects new and/or ongoing medical problems and initial evaluations. These may include: medical histories, physical exams, mental status evaluations, assessments, admission orders, and acute and chronic medication management. The provision of supervision, teaching and oversight to the entire medical department.
