Location: AdventHealth Hendersonville
The role you’ll contribute: Prepare and administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals to patients and performs diagnostic imaging procedures. Order therapeutic dose of radioactive materials and performs thyroid uptakes. Maintain regulatory requirement for policies, procedures and standards. Implements policies and procedures in Diagnostic Imaging to ensure compliance with, but not limited to The Joint Commission, OSHA, NC State and all other regulatory entities and the policies of AdventHealth Hendersonville.

- Accountable for staff competencies, credentialing and continuing education in accordance to Hospital Policy and The Joint Commission standards.
- Prepare and administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals to patients and performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Order therapeutic dose of radioactive materials and performs thyroid uptakes.
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
- Responsible for safe handling of equipment and images.
- Takes call according to monthly schedule after regular department hours.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Graduate of accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine through ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
