The Talent Acquisition Intern will be an undergraduate or graduate student participating in an approved internship class or program. The intent of the internship program is to provide and prepare qualified individuals for a career in Human Resources or Healthcare. Individuals will work on projects related to full life cycle recruiting for high volume/entry level positions, recruiting coordinator support, collegiate recruitment and community outreach and special projects in support of new talent strategies in preparation for careers within the Human Resources and/or Healthcare field. The TA Intern will support a pro-active team environment that allows DUHS Talent Acquisition to gain a competitive advantage and become an employer of choice.
Performs a variety of recruitment activities related to requisition and candidate management, including but not limited to, job board posting, database searching, cold calling, advertisement, career fairs, networking events, social media, employee referrals. 30%
Support community and collegiate outreach activities and planning by using handshake, attending events, supportive virtual events, performing research, tracking activities and outcomes. 20%
Supports a positive post-offer candidate experience through effective communication, scheduling and appropriate management of post-offer processes. 30%
Supports new hire orientation and onboarding required activities and programs that increase engagement and assimilation to Duke Health. 20%
High School graduation and completion of two years of a bachelor's degree program is required. Preferred area of course concentration in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare or Business Administration, or other closely related field.
Previous customer service experience/skills preferred
