Summary: Collaborates with nursing leaders to support nurse competency assessment, identify learning needs and create professional development goals and programs. Manages nursing staff education personnel and programs (i.e. orientation and developmental programs within the Department of Nursing; Professional Continuing Education standards; Affiliating Nursing Schools; Continuing Degree programming for nurses; Beebe Medical Center's American Heart Association Training Center and BLS Programming, Clinical Affiliations, etc). Develops and evaluates a wide variety of proprietary written materials for internal distribution for patient education. Leads and participates in interdisciplinary teams aimed at performance improvement efforts related to care quality, safety and nursing practice. Coordinates educational activities with those of other departments to maximize utilization of resources.
Five years direct experience in clinical development and education leadership.Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training and experience.
