The Paramedic / transporter assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. Paramedic will transport supplies, charts, specimens, and patients in a safe manner. Paramedic performs miscellaneous duties as assigned. Paramedic works under the direction of one or more RNâ��s completing both clerical and patient care tasks, and assists with maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
Maintains current license and certifications of Paramedic, BLS and ACLS.
Must have phlebotomy skills.
Must have basic knowledge of computer skills.
1 year paramedic experience preferred.
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Constantly required to walk or stand.
Frequently required to lift, move, or turn patients. Ability to write and speak English.
Frequently required to push patients on stretchers, and wheelchairs, etc.
Constantly required to communicate with patients, staff, visitors, and physicians
