Job Summary: Responsible for timely, accurate entry and abstraction of all trauma medical records for statistical purposes using coding guidelines, procedures, and New York State Trauma Registry. Responsibilities: Reviews entire record for all pertinent Trauma Registry clinical information. Abstracts and enters all predetermined Trauma Registry information on a computerized system. Submits all data prior to NY State required deadlines. Retrieves and documents statistical information for Trauma Services patients daily for Quality Improvement projects and programs.
