EMS Resource Controller PRN Rotating Position Summary The EMS Resource Controller is an essential position accountable for coordinating and managing the dynamic deployment of personnel and resources to assure provision of high performance emergency medical services throughout York County. It is the expectation that the EMS Resource Controller will exemplify the highest professional standards and continuously fosters an enriching, supportive and dynamic team environment.
THE RESOURCE CONTROLLER PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience: At least three years full time experience as a 911 EMS provider or at least 2 years full time experience as a 911 dispatcher. Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification preferred.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: South Carolina EMT certification or higher OR Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certification preferred. Must obtain SC EMT or EMD within one year of hire Nationally Registered EMT certification within one year of employment (if EMT certified) or Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certified AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required PALS or PEPP required within orientation period NIMS compliant with Incident Command/Incident Management in the following preferred within two years 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 Valid South Carolina or North Carolina Driverâ��s License
