The Infection Preventionist Nurse is a self-directed professional who assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates the quality and safety of the delivery of care for the organization, with a focus on infection prevention. The Infection Preventionist (IP) assumes the leadership role in ensuring the facility meets the regulatory requirements for this program.
