Health Information Tech I Medical Records Full Time Days
Summary
The Health Information Tech I is responsible for performing the prepping, scanning and indexing of cases; Inpatient, SDS, Emergency, Diagnostics and loose filing encounters in conjunction with monitoring the A-130 Report to ensure that all pending cases for coding are available to coders for reduced DNFB and DNFC. The goal is that all encounters are accounted for and department goals are met.
Education Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
No prior experience is required. Excellent communications skills verbal and written. Basic mathematical, alphabetizing and numerical skills. Good organizational skills.
