The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine Department of Radiology invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. We seek exceptional team members with a desire to expand our research focused on imaging and cardiovascular disease.
We are seeking to fill one tenure track position in cardiovascular disease epidemiology to join our Epidemiology Research Division and the BRIC to collaborate with imaging scientists to develop novel AI-based approaches to address cardiovascular disease. We seek outstanding candidates engaged in cardiovascular disease epidemiology research with a focus on imaging-based methods. This position is part of a cluster hire of 2-3 faculty with complementary expertise in cardiovascular disease and radiologic imaging. The new faculty member is expected to develop an independently funded research portfolio and contribute collaboratively to externally funded research. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to service to the department.
The candidates should have a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD) in Epidemiology or a related field.
The candidates should have a strong epidemiology background and training with experience in imaging research studies, with a focus on CVD. The candidate should also have experience in grant writing, conceptualizing study designs, implementing statistical analyses, and conducting analyses for multi-disciplinary and collaborative research.
