DescriptionProvides age-specific direct and indirect patient care. Responsible for the collection, labeling, and transport of specimens to the appropriate areas of the laboratory. Obtains blood specimens by established venipuncture and capillary techniques. Obtains outpatient urine specimens (sometimes with direct observation) and buccal swabs. Labels specimens according to policy and distributes to appropriate testing areas of laboratory. Inputs data in the system. Performs EKGs, CLIA Waived Testing (flu, strep, COVID, mono, urine, and drug screens). Performs drug screen collection. Preps blood for transport to reference labs. Performs CBC under direct supervision of Medical Lab Technician. X-ray. H
