The Chair and Professor will provide senior academic and strategic leadership and advance the teaching, research, and service/outreach missions of the Department of Family Science and the University of Maryland School of Public Health. The Chair and Professor will work closely with faculty, students and staff within the Department, School, campus and beyond to oversee and ensure excellence in (1) academic programs, curriculum development, and clinic operations; (2) facilitate and support faculty and student pursuit of research grants and projects, and (3) facilitate faculty and student participation in interdisciplinary research programs and service activities, and 4) provide fiscal management and oversight of unit operations.
