CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT/ UNIT SEC/ MONITOR TECH - STEP DOWN
  Summary:MT: Monitor cardiac rhythms and other basic physiologic/hemodynamic parameters within the hospital, report/document heart rhythm changes, and perform related maintenance and patient assistance activities. Responsible for the receptionist and clerical function on the Patient Care Unit as well as the patient flow and the observation and documentation of cardiac rhythms at a central monitoring station under supervision of a Registered Nurse. Common Conditions that require Monitor Technicians are cardiac surgery, renal failure, CHF, COPD, neurological problems, sleep disorders, seizure disorders, and cancer. Dysrhythmia
