Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Allergy/Immunology Division within the Delaware Valley with locations in Deptford, New Jersey and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This APRN/PA will function independently and collaboratively to provide specialty medical care for patients 0 to 20 years in the Allergy/Immunology Division. Excellent written, phone and interpersonal communication skills are required. Interested applicants should possess the ability to function as a high level in an interprofessional team environment as well as an independent provider.

Essential Functions

• Perform history and physical examinations in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Enter patient information and patient prescriptions into the electronic medical record.
• Triage and respond to phone calls from referring physician, patients and their families, allied health professionals, insurance companies, etc. regarding patient care.
• Educate parents or legal guardians and other involved personnel on patient condition and plan of care.
• Provide general education and information on an ongoing basis to all personnel who are members of or work with the Division
• Communicate with appropriate medical staff for purposes of consultation, referral, and coordination of patient care and other service issues.
• Perform office-based procedures under the supervision of an attending physician.
• Participate in divisional, departmental, and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Nemours.

Requirements:

• At least one year of related clinical experience
• Demonstrable experience with clinical procedures
• Current Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• Active Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania Physician Assistant licensure/Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure
• Delaware/Pennsylvania/New Jersey Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
• Federal Drug Enforcement Agency Registration (DEA) with Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania address
• Current AHA BLS
