Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Faculty Position
The Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York and the Division of Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation in the Department of Pediatrics at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position in the academic-clinician/clinician-educator track with a focus on stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy. The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology or immunology with a focus on stem cell transplantation. Said candidate will be expected to provide outstanding clinical care, excellence in teaching, and productivity in program development and clinical/translational research with a focus on stem cell transplantation, cellular immunotherapy and/or gene therapy.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center is a 202 bed tertiary children’s hospital. Clinical care is provided in an 18 bed oncology unit with 8 beds specifically designed and designated for stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy, a 13 bed Ambulatory Chemotherapy Transfusion Unit and a dedicated outpatient diagnostic center. Duties include providing outpatient and inpatient patient care services, research activities, and participation in the clinical education of medical students, residents and fellows.
Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, clinical or translational research and clinical care. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
