The physician liaison supports the development, operations, and performance of BSWQA's clinically integrated network through relationship management, communication and advocacy, and expertise in relevant concepts and strategies. The liaison acts as a bidirectional communication channel between BSWQA and its stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
·Maintain comprehensive general knowledge of BSW value-based care strategies and initiatives and the overall value-based care landscape
·Maintain professional working relationships with BSWQA providers and staff rooted in timely and effective communication, continuous education and advocacy, expertise in relevant concepts, and a commitment to timely problem-solving
·Maintain collaborative working relationships with BSWQA teams and stakeholders to facilitate enhanced support for BSWQA providers
·Comprehensive understanding of network utilization conceptually and practically to continuously improve network alignment and performance
·Facilitate BSWQA provider/facility membership through expertise in assigned service areas, execution of tasks and duties associated with membership assessment and initiation, and application of CIN concepts and strategies
·Facilitate resolution of provider inquiries and issues relating to BSWQA and BSWQA stakeholders including BSW facility teams, credentialing teams, and payors
·Education on complex topics accessible to varied audiences by virtual or in-person interaction using an array of tools and mediums including PowerPoint slides, Excel or PBI data extracts and analyses, etc.
·Maintain advanced interpersonal skills that create an ability to read situations, determine appropriate methods of communication, diffuse tension or misunderstanding, and create positive experiences and interactions among peers, providers, and stakeholders
·Build relationships and achieve objectives interacting with teams at all levels within the organization including operational and clinical leaders
·Act appropriately upon assigned initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for self-driven work efforts to strategically grow BSWQA's network, improve network utilization, increase alignment among BSWQA providers and stakeholders, and ensure compliance with BSWQA's network participation agreements
·Document key task and objective completion via the appropriate processes and resources to ensure compliance with BSWQA policies and procedures
·Support team growth and development through participation in meetings and discussions, time and resource management to ensure meaningful interactions, consistent engagement in rounding with leadership teams, sharing of best practices, and participating in the onboarding and development of new team members
