Patient Care Assistant (PCA) Apprentice
Job Summary:The Patient Care Assistant Apprentice (PCAA) is accountable for supporting patient care activities, under the supervision of a registered nurse, on inpatient nursing units. The -PCAA works closely with the charge nurse and staff nurses to assure patient care needs are met. The PCAA performs patient care activities, as delegated, and adheres to patient safety measures. The PCAA is competent in the performance of basic patient care activities, medical terminology, communication, organizational, and computer skills. The PCAA demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness. The apprenticeship position will last a total of one (1) year.Minimum QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma
