Job DescriptionOverview Under direct supervision, collects blood samples by performing venipunctures or finger or heel sticks on patients. Checks the quality of blood and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of the patient, following established standards and practices. Processes all samples within the department, either manually or using automation equipment, including send-outs. Key Responsibilities Obtains venous and/or capillary blood specimens according to established procedures.
