The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist acts as a consultant to outpatient, inpatient, resident, primary care, home-based primary care, medical and nursing staff in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and reassessing the care of patients with a variety of wounds and stomas, to include but not limited to lower extremity wounds, abdominal stomas, draining wounds, fistula, pressure ulcers, dermal wounds, acute surgical wounds, and incontinence issues.
