Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist
The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist acts as a consultant to outpatient, inpatient, resident, primary care, home-based primary care, medical and nursing staff in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and reassessing the care of patients with a variety of wounds and stomas, to include but not limited to lower extremity wounds, abdominal stomas, draining wounds, fistula, pressure ulcers, dermal wounds, acute surgical wounds, and incontinence issues. Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner/ Clinical Nurse Specialist) Basic Requirements English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. Education: A post-master's certificate
