Clinical Lab Technologist
Job Summary: The Clinical Technologist is responsible for all activities with blood and blood components including, but not limited to, logging-in the units, thawing plasma, thawing and pooling cryoprecipitate, irradiate products and washing RBCs; setting up patient or blood product samples for testing by a technologist/automated machine; maintenance of lab equipment. Responsibilities: Performing type and screen testing, cross matching, and antibody identification Calculating and preparing blood for exchange transfusion Ensuring blood inventory control is maintained at acceptable levels Recording all quality control and quality
