Supplemental Diag Cardiac Sonographer I - Full-Time- Ben Taub Hospital
Job SummaryThe Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer I (DCS I) is competent in providing high quality cardiac ultrasound images of the heart and great vessels, assessment of myocardial function, recording of hemodynamic measurements, and visualization of blood flow using 2D, M-mode, color-flow and spectral Doppler. The DCS I performs Exercise Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, and assists with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs). The DCS establishes peripheral intravenous access and administers Ultrasound Enhancing Agents according to established protocol and standing medical order (SMO). The DCS I retrieves, communicates, and presents information in a written, oral or visual fashion.Minimum Qualifications
