St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking to recruit a full-time Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist on behalf of Ellis Hospital located in Schenectady, NY. Ellis Hospital is a 150-bed community hospital with inpatient Adult and Adolescent Psychiatric Units. The Ellis Psychiatry program has been helping adults overcome mental illness for more than 50 years and offering specialized services for children and adolescents.

Position Details:

• The Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will provide inpatient consultation coverage for patients at the Ellis Hospital campus and will work collaboratively with the Hospitalists, specialists, and community providers
• The Consult Liaison Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric consultative services to the medical and surgical teams at Ellis Hospital including the ER
• Consultations will focus primarily on patients with mental illness who have comorbid medical illness while in the hospital
• Psychiatrist will work with the Ellis Hospital behavioral health interdisciplinary team
• Position hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
• Call rotation is 1:4 weekends 

Requirements:  Applicants should have the following:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Experience treating an adult psychiatric patient population
• Fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Liaison preferred
• Experience in an inpatient setting is also preferred
• DEA Licensure/NYS licensure required

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

St. Peter's Health Partners offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package that includes:

• Competitive base salary including starting bonus
• Compensation is between $290,000 and $337,500
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
