JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Program Manager to provide administrative direction for the Clinician Onboarding and Orientation program. Partners with the directors, departmental contacts, and other stakeholders to facilitate the efficient onboarding, orientation, and training of Duke Health Clinicians. Responsible for successful transition from recruitment to onboarding, orientation, and start date.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Clinician onboarding, orientation and offboarding efforts within Duke Health. Serves as the subject matter expert for those specialties by partnering with the hiring leaders to ensure the provider is onboarded timely with a positive onboarding experience.
Lead the redesign and further enhance the onboarding, orientation, and training program to ensure a positive welcoming experience for new Clinicians. Present on these topics to key groups at Duke.
Work with the onboarding team to lead Clinicians through the onboarding process and develop programs that foster retention.
Select, hire, and train onboarding coordinator/s.
Responsible for post hire survey distribution, data collection, reports, and action planning to further develop retention efforts.
Establish highly effective working relationships with internal customers, physician leaders, and all onboarding stakeholder departments to skillfully coordinate onboard activities. Exhibit a welcoming, customer service-focused attitude in all interactions with Duke internal and external clients.
Coordinates and/or assists in the creation and coordination of social events, group trainings/orientation, and other provider initiatives to support Provider Integration Services.
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure that the onboarding process is progressing as planned.
Seek out new ideas and best practices in onboarding/offboarding and incorporate them into the organization's onboarding efforts.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.
OR ANY OTHER EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
AAPPR Onboarding and Retention Certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain in first year.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
