Respiratory Therapist, Emergency Department
OverviewThe Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Care Services department encompasses responsibility for administering respiratory care within the scope their scope of practice under a physician's order including, but not limited to, all types of oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECG's and mechanical ventilation of adult/geriatric patients. The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of therapy, with communication to the physician and health care team.
