SUMMARY: SUMMARY: The progressive pharmacy internship program allows students to function under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and serve as a pharmacy extender while developing a knowledge base and competency level of technical and clinical duties that assist with quality pharmaceutical care. Functions performed as an intern include but are not limited to:drug preparation and drug distribution, admission medication history, medication counseling and patient education, drug information, drug dosing, participation in educational experiences, and engagement in scholarship.
