The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to serve as the Chief of Breast Imaging. The selected candidate will be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the Clinical X, In Residence, or HS Clinical series, depending on qualifications and interests.
UCSF Radiology is committed to leadership in clinical patient care, education, innovation and research in image-guided intervention. The Chief position offers an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to build on the success of the distinguished division and enhance collaborations between internal and external partners. The selected candidate will hold responsibility and accountability for administrative and programmatic oversight of the clinical, research, educational, and service activities in Breast Imaging in alignment with the department's strategy, vision, mission, and goals. Obligations include departmental leadership and administration, delivery of high-quality care for patients, stewardship of educational and research programs in Breast Imaging, and faculty mentoring.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in breast imaging, and completion of fellowship training in breast imaging. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or be prepared to enter into the ABR Alternate Pathway. Applicants should also be certified to interpret mammography under the Mammography Quality Standards Act. Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission. The selected candidate must meet all of the qualifications at the time of appointment.
