POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is expanding our premier practice to support our exciting growth throughout the state of Florida. RP Florida is currently seeking an experienced, full-time, Board Certified, Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our talented team primarily servicing HCA Florida Tampa Hospitals. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both a hospital and clinic-based practice setting. Such services to include but not limited to pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image guided radiologic procedures, evaluation of patients in consultation, inpatient hospital rounds, and long-term patient follow-up. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the overall healthcare community.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM EST
• Primary role is to be physician extender/substitute for minor procedures
• Perform or assist procedures such as: paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoro
• Perform image guided IV access
• Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding
• Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies
• Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
• Perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients
• Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern regarding medical management
• Educate patients on their medical care
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 1 Year of IR procedural experience
• Graduate of an AMA accredited Program
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the state of FL or ability to obtain license
• Board Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants/ Board Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• DEA, BLS and ACLS certifications required
