WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC, is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiologist who specializes in Electrophysiology to join us at the Franciscan Health Heart and Vascular Institute Olympia Fields located in Olympia Fields, IL. Our ideal candidate would be collegial and have a strong focus on both clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Provider will also appreciate working in a community hospital teaching environment along with a diverse patient population.

WHAT WE NEED:

Ideal candidate will have imaging experience, a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. Physician will need to work collaboratively with all physicians and staff members within our Cardiology service line to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; with hospital rotation 1:2

• Imaging experience preferred

• Average outpatient clinic volume: 18 - 20 patients per day

• Average inpatient volume: varies

• State-of-the-art labs:

  • Biosense Webster Cartosound Mapping system with GE recording system, with connectivity to perform cryoballoon cases as well

• Procedures:

  • Permanent Pacemaker implants

  • Pacemaker Lead extractions

  • Leadless Pacemaker implants

  • ICD implants

  • Left Atrial Appendage Closure

  • Ablations: Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT Cryoablation

  • Covergent procedures in collaboration with cardiovascular surgeons

WHO WE ARE:

Franciscan Health Olympia Fields is the largest academic medical center in the south Chicago suburbs. It is modern, clean, and well equipped with two new "hybrid-capable" Cath labs, one dual-purpose Electrophysiology lab (EP) as well as a 4th Interventional Radiology lab (IR). We also have state of the art cardiovascular imaging equipment in echo, Computed Tomography (CT) and nuclear. You will work in a pleasant, aesthetically pleasing environment with congenial colleagues.

Our cardiology group is part of Specialty Physicians of Illinois, LLC (SPI), a multispecialty group with 60 physicians and 20 APPs which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Franciscan Alliance. Our group is full service with highly trained, highly skilled cardiologists in all cardiac subspecialties. You will join two highly experienced interventional cardiologists, one EP physician, 2 non-invasive cardiologists as well as six CV-APPs. SPI will serve as the nucleus of your referral base which when coupled with our very active Emergency Department (ED), will ensure that you are very busy from day one. We are the exclusive providers of cardiac services to the hospital.

The patient mix in our community is both ethnically and financially diverse. The complexity and acuity of disease presenting through our very large ED is simply amazing and ensures a robust and intellectually stimulating practice experience for staff and trainees alike.
