SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Director of Compliance and Privacy  (Audits and Administration) will report directly to the Vice President of Compliance and Privacy and will provide oversight and strategic direction to the organization's compliance and privacy programs while serving as a role model for ethical management behavior. The individual selected for this role will be a seasoned, transparent, and collaborative compliance leader within the healthcare industry and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing regulatory compliance oversight across Penn State Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum ten (10) years experience in comprehensive compliance, audit, billing, coding, and documentation experience, preferably in complex health care system.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in managing, guiding, mentoring, and motivating a team in a complex organization with demonstrated skills in developing strong, collaborative teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Advanced degree
• Coding certification (e.g., CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT)
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
• Professional privacy certifications (e.g., Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), etc.)
