Guthrie is seeking a visionary leader for the newly established Hematology/Oncology fellowship.
This growing program has experienced early success, as evidenced by high scores from a recent in-training exam and impressive matching data for incoming fellows.
Highlights of the Position
- Multi-dimensional role to include academics, administrative leadership, and clinical focus.
- Integrated clinical trials capabilities currently running almost 30 clinical trials in oncology, including Alliance and pending NRG membership
- Robust EHR used in all areas, including operating room (EPIC 10-Star health system, top 1% of EPIC Organizations)
- Full-time Palliative Care consultation service
- Radiation Oncology is available at each Cancer Center location
- Embedded pharmacy with a dedicated oncology pharmacist
Candidate Requirements
- Hematology or Oncology Board Certification required
- Passion for teaching and mentoring physicians in training
- Prior experience as a Program Director or Associate Director preferred
- Minimum of 3 years as an active faculty member in academic practice
- Eligibility for unrestricted PA and NY state license
- Possess strong administrative and team-building skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with publications preferred
