SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This is an all outpatient position where the APP will be providing comprehensive care in both obstetrics and gynecology. Candidates should be comfortable managing a full spectrum of OB/GYN patients, performing basic gynecologic procedures such as IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon insertions, and vulvar biopsies. Proficiency in reading non-stress tests (NSTs) and conducting basic obstetric ultrasounds?such as assessing fetal presentation and deepest vertical pocket (DVP)?is expected.

Responsible for assisting physicians in the medical care and management of patients, performing such functions as making rounds, physical examinations, and other patient examinations, injections, care of wounds, arranging for patient referrals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment 
• National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
