The smallest of Duke Health's four hospitals at 123-beds, it offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including 24-hour emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, women's services, and surgical specialties.
General Description of the Job Class
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The Clinical Nurse Manager assists the Unit Director with clinical, financial, and personnel management of the unit by utilizing established principles of delegation, supervision and independent judgement.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education
BSN preferred.
Experience
One to three years previous supervisory experience highly preferred; three to five years previous clinical nursing experience in applicable specialty area required.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
Requires current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Specialty areas may require additional certifications. National certification in area of specialty preferred. BLS certification.
