Washington Nephrology Associates, LLP, established in 1984, is the largest private practice Nephrology group in the Washington, DC region. A dynamic and rapidly growing group, we currently maintain offices in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Our twenty-five physicians serve a total of thirty-one hospitals, one hundred and eighteen dialysis units, and seventeen nursing homes. Our coverage area extends from Baltimore, MD to Woodbridge, VA (North to South) and from Annapolis, MD to Manassas, VA (East to West). Thus, WNA offers superior patient care continuity throughout the region. Despite the large overall coverage area, cross-coverage for individual physicians is limited to a relatively small radius.
Our physicians specialize in managing a broad range of kidney diseases, hypertension, kidney transplantation evaluation and aftercare, in addition to all modalities of dialysis. Each of our physicians is board-certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Many of our physicians are listed as top nephrologists in Washingtonian Magazine as well as other local publications.
Our region -- beautiful, historic, multi-cultural Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia -- is well known for its museums, monuments, excellent restaurants, and professional sports teams. The area has virtually limitless festivals, concerts, outdoor activities, theater, lectures, and events for children. There is truly something for everyone, from Kennedy Center attractions to apple picking to baseball games to fireworks on the National Mall. Further afield, the beautiful Shenandoah Mountain range is only an hour's drive west, and the Atlantic coastal beaches are two and half hour's drive east.
