Location: Fisher's Hospital
Schedule: Part-Time Day Shift, 32 hours per week

Position Description
This part-time (32 hours/week) Child Life Specialist (CLS) role involves supporting infants, children, adolescents, and young adults during their hospital stay. The CLS works as part of the healthcare team to address psychosocial, emotional, and developmental needs, helping patients and families adjust to illness, injury, or loss in critical, acute, and outpatient settings.
The CLS assesses needs and implements developmentally appropriate interventions to educate, prepare, and support families, fostering a safe and family-centered hospital environment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advocate for emotionally safe care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • ACLP Certified Child Life Specialist Certification required within one year of hire.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Completed or current enrollment in a Child Life Internship at a children's hospital is mandatory to be considered.
