PET Imaging Technologist
Distinguishing Features of the Class: The PET Imaging Technologist is responsible for technical work involving the operation of Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Fusion Imaging (Spect or PET) equipment for the purpose of taking radiology images prescribed by clinical providers. Responsibilities also include the maintenance of radiology files within the Radiology Information Systems, while following established departmental and hospital protocols. Examples of Work: (Illustrative Only) Administers imaging tests and treatments as prescribed by clinical providers using protocols, and produces acceptable quality radiology images; Utilizes Radiology Information Systems and PACS to keep accurate patient records; Positions and instructs patients in preparation for taking radiology im
