SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for monitoring patients undergoing esketamine treatment. Responsible for assisting with the care coordination, administration process, closely monitoring patients during treatment sessions, documenting vital signs and behavioral observations, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment throughout the course of care. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in a medical or behavioral health setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required 

• Current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required. 

• Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient practice or clinical specialty area required. 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

•  Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
• Associates Degree
