Job Summary

The Director of Payroll Services leads strategic payroll operations, driving process improvements, automation, and compliance across payroll and accounting functions. This role manages complex projects, ensures accurate financial reporting, and champions the effective use of systems like PeopleSoft and UKG Pro WFM. By fostering a customer-focused culture, mentoring staff, and aligning payroll practices with GAAP and organizational policies, the position ensures operational excellence and financial integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

Degrees:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area required
Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area preferred

Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification required

Work Experience: Ten (10) years in high volume payroll area required, preferably in the healthcare industry; and experience with electronic time and attendance scheduling system(s) required (UKG Pro WFM and PeopleSoft mastery required).

Management Experience: Seven (7) years of management/supervisory experience required in a high-volume processing area.

Communication Skills:

Other Requirements: Prior system conversion a strong plus. Extensive experience of payroll taxes. Working knowledge of federal & state wage and hour laws. - P.C., MS Word, & MS Excel.
