Overview
St. Luke's Cancer Institute is seeking a BC/BE Palliative Care Physician to join our nationally recognized oncology team. This role is essential to our mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals facing serious and complex illnesses. You will be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that includes oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other specialists. We are seeking a physician who is passionate about improving the quality of life for patients and their families throughout the cancer journey.
*Medical Director opportunity to lead our Supportive Oncology Program, drive the advancement of supportive care services, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and shape strategic clinical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert palliative care consultation for oncology patients in outpatient settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support patients and families in navigating complex medical decisions, symptom management, and goals of care
- Educate staff, patients, and families on palliative care principles and best practices
- Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and educational efforts
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible
- Eligible for medical licensure in Idaho
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
- Expereince in palliative oncology care preferrred
