The RN in this role will be in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Riley Children's Hospital. Shift: Full-time Nightshift or Part-time Nightshift

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

• Critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced nursing skills such as challenging IV placement, specialized equipment, and patient resuscitation
• Flexibility and Adaptability

Unit Successes/Designations:

• Trauma 1 designation by American College of Surgeons
• Premier location for pediatric emergency care
• Connections with colleagues as Indiana's only verified pediatric burn center, pediatric surgical center, as well as EMS pediatric readiness designation

Qualifications

• Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
