Assume responsibility and accountability for assessment, diagnosis, intervention and outcome to assure optimal plan of care, as applicable to the role. Performs advanced practice procedures commiserate with training and credentialing. Utilizes the nursing process to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. The CRNA administers any number of agents (anesthesia) to either relieve pain or make patients unconscious for surgical procedures provided that an applicable supervising physician reviews and approves the measures and is promptly available at the time the CRNA performs the anesthesia care.
Job RequirementsThe Regional Clinical Officer will work collaboratively with the Regional Medical Officer (RMO), onsite chiefs, as well as anesthesia management to oversee the quality of service. The RCO will be expected to support all clinical, recruiting and operational decisions and goals at assigned sites. Attendence of monthly anesthesia department meetings for assigned sites, along with RCO leadership meetings. (Position is 0.9 FTE clinical and 0.1 FTE leadership/admin)
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
- Masters Degree - Graduate of accredited program for nurse anesthesia
- Active Colorado license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- AANA certification
-Leadership experience preferred
Where You'll WorkLocated in Lakewood, Colorado, St. Anthony Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center where we provide a full range of medical specialties and health care services to Denver and the surrounding region through our state-of-the-art medical campus and home base for Flight For Life(r) Colorado. With four trauma rooms including the T-10 room, a dedicated field-to-surgery suite ready 24/7 for trauma surgeons and specially trained teams, our staff
can provide life-saving care to the most severely ill and injured patients.
