Advanced Practice Provider - (PA/NP) Family Medicine
The Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider, (APP), Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, is part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating patients of all ages in a primary care setting. The Family Medicine APP provides initial and ongoing assessment and treatment of the patient's medical, physical, and psychosocial status, including:Coordinate the activities of the primary health care team to ensure optimal patient care services; candidates must be licensed to care for all ages.Coordinate and schedule laboratory studies, diagnostic procedures, and services such as labs, x-rays, and referrals. Explain the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients and their families.
