The Global Public Health program in Harpur College at Binghamton University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position (non-tenure track) for a term of one year with the possibility of renewal, up to three years. Lecturers with demonstrated teaching experience in disciplines ranging from Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, Maternal and Child Health, or other related global public health fields are encouraged to apply. The position is open to candidates with a PhD in global public health or related fields, such as Medical Sociology, Anthropology, or Social Psychology. The lecturer will be part of the core faculty in the Global Public Health program, and the primary responsibilities will involve teaching and mentoring. The teaching load will be the equivalent of 3/3.
The successful candidate will teach across multiple Global Public Health topics, including core and capstone courses and courses in the candidate's area of expertise. In the capstone courses, the lecturer will mentor students working collaboratively on original research projects. Demonstrated excellence in teaching courses in global health and/or related fields at the undergraduate level is desirable, as well as demonstrated track record of involving undergraduate students in research.

Required qualifications:
- PhD in Global Public Health or a related field by August 17, 2026
- Demonstrated history of excellence in teaching
- Demonstrated history of mentoring
Preferred qualifications:
- Masters in global public health, health education and promotion, or public health
- Demonstrated history of student engagement in research
