Binghamton University (SUNY) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Global Public Health (GPH) in the area of Health Systems and Policy. We seek a scholar with a research focus on health policy analysis across global, national, and subnational/local tiers with emphasis on marginalized communities and people of African descent. Candidates with expertise in global health policy analysis and evaluation in the use of digital health and AI/big data in healthcare are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate should also possess collaborative and organizational skills based on experiences working with diverse global communities through partnerships on health issues, aiming to address critical global health challenges.
The selected candidate will be part of the core faculty in Binghamton University's new undergraduate Global Public Health program with tenure berth in the Africana Studies department. The Africana Studies department is a multidisciplinary department with specialties in Biobehavioral Health, Philosophy, History, Geography, Global Public Health, Literature, Religious Studies, Dance and Music. We are particularly interested in scholars who will capitalize on collaboration opportunities and resources within the university's Transdisciplinary Areas of Excellence, Core Facilities, Harpur College of Arts and Sciences and the ongoing collaboration between Global Public Health and Digital & Data Studies (DiDa). The faculty member will be encouraged to pursue affiliation with other academic units and programs as appropriate and will have the opportunity to work with graduate students across a variety of disciplines.
Duties:
