Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiology Faculty Opportunity University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Texas

Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiology Faculty Opportunity - The Cardiovascular Medicine Division at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is actively recruiting an Electrophysiology Cardiologist at any rank for its expanding Division. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our growing Division and will work in a well-managed and robust multifaceted cardiology practice with a large EP procedural volume. The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is rapidly expanding with >25 physicians currently, with a faculty practice group that enjoys the excellent infrastructure of UTMB health with its 4 Hospitals and numerous health clinics. The Division is the professional home to 24 general cardiologists, 2 heat failure cardiologists and 3 interventional cardiology fellows. Active plans are in place to initiate an EP Cardiology Fellowship by July of 2023. The Division strives to create and maintain diversity, inclusiveness, and a collegial, stable, and efficient work environment. The successful candidate will be expected to expand our clinical programs as well as to provide clinical care to patients at all campuses including the main UTMB campus in Galveston and its satellite location at the Clear Lake campus. All faculty members will also be expected/willing to mentor residents, fellows and medical students who rotate through the program.
Requirements: Successful candidates must be board certified (or BE) in ABIM and as well in Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP). will have completed a General Cardiology Fellowship program. They must also be able to obtain a valid, unrestricted Texas state medical license
