Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesLocated in sunny Phoenix, Dignity Health Medical Group Pediatrics is looking for a Pediatrician to participate primarily in the care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient newborn settings.
- This position is available due to growth and needs of the comumnity.
- Single practice. 60% Medicaid. Approximately 40% Private.
- General pediatrics age 0-18 year, well child, acute visits and complex health care needs.
- Outpatient and Inpatient. Newborn Nursery with average daily census 11 - our group covers the NB nursery at St Joseph's 7 days a week and we share the weekends across our group/per diem.
- Typical work week: Option for 5 days versus 4 days (extended schedule); Working Saturday and Sunday on those weekends assigned to NB nursery which is shared.
- Procedures: Circumcision, Frenotomy
- Call: Weekly night call for NB nursery and for practice. Shared weekends.
- Additional practice details: Teach medical students and also residents (mostly pediatric, and possibly family medicine).
- May have roles as Core Faculty and Advisor, support and maintain residency program curricula.
- Oversees, prepares and presents ambulatory didactic curriculum
- Activities include but are not limited to: care of patients, teaching and supervising learners, performing medical student and resident assessments, feedback and written evaluations, oversight of education and quality improvement activities and clinic performance metrics, maintenance of an educational environment conducive to educating medical students and residents in both LCME and ACGME competency area.
Job Requirements- MD or DO Degree
- Board Certification/Eligibility
- Must have or be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona.
- PALS certification
- Completed ACGME Residency training program
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- A passion for providing clinically excellent care
