The University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) Medical School, Department of Pediatrics and Division of Infectious Diseases, seeks a Pediatric Infectious Diseases physician for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on the academic or clinician track.
The physician will participate in the clinical, research, and teaching activities of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Clinical responsibilities will include providing coverage of inpatient consultation services and outpatient clinical practice. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty/research expertise and to teach fellows, residents, and medical students.
The successful candidate will have a record of excellence in clinical activities, including patient care, education, and research in infectious diseases.
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases team at the University of Minnesota M Health Fairview provides expert clinical care for immunocompetent and immunocompromised children with a broad range of infectious diseases. Faculty in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases not only treat children - they also advance the health of children worldwide by leading groundbreaking research into the pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases. The division has a long-standing, highly collaborative relationship with the Division of Infectious Diseases within the Department of Internal Medicine and with the Minnesota Department of Health.

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for this position is $163,300- $246,900 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
