Job Summary
The Fleet and Equipment Planner uses organizational and logistical assets to coordinate all parts of Public Safety Fleet. Maintains inventory of departmental supplies in a warehouse. Uses leadership and communication skills to monitor and supervise staff. Responds to customer or vendor concerns.
Essential Functions of the Role
- Coordinates fleet functions and related vendor contracts, fleet, uniforms and equipment.
- Coordinates auto service for Public Safety Fleet.
- Maintains accurate inventory of departmental uniforms, equipment and vehicles.
- Issues uniforms and equipment to new employees and recovers upon termination or resignation.
- Meets with stakeholders and vendors for uniforms, vehicles and equipment.

- Ability to comprehend the customer's point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues.
- Ability to manage inventory for uniforms and equipment.
- Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
- General computer skills, including but not limited to: using required software applications, data entry, information security, handheld scanning and email.

QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -
Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
