This Specialty Lab Assistant position is a part of our Cytology Support team in Birmingham, AL. This role works in a high volume, production-based environment performing vital roles within the lab. The schedule for this position will be: Tuesday- Saturday 5:00am to 1:30pm.Job Duties/Responsibilities: Receive and sort clinical lab specimensPrepare specimens for testing and analysisScan and/or data entry of specimen and patient informationEnsure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenanceTroubleshoot any specimen related issuesReplenish test bench supplies as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environment
