Social Worker (Local Recovery Coordinator)
The Local Recovery Coordinator (LRC) is a Social Worker assigned within the Mental Health- Recovery Programs Service Line, located at Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHCS). The LRC assists in implementation of policies and procedures from the National Recovery Coordinator (NRC) and facilitates implementation of recovery oriented services in Mental Health programs. Applicants must meet the requirements by the closing date 9/30/2024 of this announcement. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Must be US Citizen. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English to be appointed as authorized by 38 U.S.C. § 7403(f).
