The Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health and Behavioral Studies at James Madison University offers a dynamic Bachelor’s of Science in Health Sciences curriculum. The Health Sciences major is designed for students interested in understanding the causes of disease, strategies for promoting wellness and behavior change, and the scientific basis and methodologies for analyzing health concerns for both individuals and populations. Upon degree completion, graduates are prepared for immediate employment in multiple allied health areas or a pathway to graduate studies in a variety of disciplines, including medicine, optometry, pharmacy, nursing, public health, and other professional preparation programs.
